A LITTLE BIT OF PARADISE IN WAIPU, NEW ZEALAND

About Us

Maggie
Opening our home for accommodation here in Waipu just seemed the right thing to do, as a flow on from hosting overseas students and sporting teams, while being involved with our children's chosen sports. This mainly being water polo, where I was the NZ Woman's Manager for 5 years.

I like creating new from old, turning produce from the garden into jams pickles or chutneys. I am an out doors person, not only enjoying the above but also

  • Gardening
  • Nordic Walking walking/, golf
  • Photography My friend Sue and I have taken photo'sand produced 4 calendars of Waipu and the proceeds go to the museum
  • Being invloved within the comminity
  • I have learnt and still learnign the Ukelele

In 1999 we left Auckland. and before settling down, we packed our packs, a 2-man tent and travelled overseas for 5 months, caretaking in Coopers Beach for almost 2 years and settled here, permently in 2001
